Black Women Making Black History

As the Black History Month comes to a close we can’t neglect to acknowledge Black Woman Making History. Last night, our team of brand ambassadors has the chance to represent H&Malong with renowned custom designer Ruth E. Carter for the Atlanta launching & Block Party for her new clothing collection. RCD.

Ruth E. Carter is known for her amazing work in movies such as Black Panther, Malcolm X, Do The Right Thing, and even the recent hit Netflix film Dolemite. Ms.Ruth is making history on the big screen as well as off. The launch of her a new clothing brand in conjunction with retail giant H&M is by far a positive move that will change the perspective for the black community. Not to mention is it H&M first ever black designer collaboration.

While we can all recall the mistake of the past with H&M as their lack of understanding for the black community, we commend them on this collaboration in efforts of including a more educated diversity and culture into their brand. Today we honor Ms. Ruth E. Carter for her work in film and paving a way for other African American Designer.
