#ACLU100

Let’s start off by thanking SoDo Marketing for allow us to be a part of this amazing tour stop for the ACLU 100 Years Of Celebrations! This dynamic tour included stops like Washington DC, Miami, Atlanta, Montgomery, and so many other cities. Our teams had the opportunity to work along aside the ACLU staff and volunteers in order to engage with consumers through this incredible day food, fun, and family activities. Each tour stop is filled with various local performers, activists, and city workers that participate in making this event educational and entertaining. Families in the metro Atlanta event were able to enjoy the new and popular food truck, “Slutty Vegan” while listening to Former Atlanta Mayor Andrew Young. On the other hand students from all around the Montgomery, Alabama school system participated in an open panel discussion featuring a live painting from local activists and artist Michelle Browder, founder of the ‘I Am More Than’ Movement. For those who do not know the ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union) is a national non-profit organization that works daily in courts, legislatures, and communities to defend the individual rights and liberties guaranteed to every person in this country by the Constitution and laws of the United States. Therefore, as they traveled the country for eight weeks visiting different cities they’re focus was to educate attendees on the current three main focuses of American civil right; immigration, voters expression, and mass incarceration. When we see or hear cases that involve people held in jail for more years than necessary without even being convicted, the ACLU are the people that step up to the plate. Current the ACLU has at least ten lawsuits pending against President Trump for violating human and civil rights. Be sure to visit their website to check on future tour stops or to find out more information on how you can volunteer in your region. www.aclu.org Last but not least, thank you to our Limitless team: Jessica, Omarious, Richard, Ka'Shayla, , Melissa, Jessie, And Jerrell for doing a fantastic job on both tour stops.
