Whew! Where can I start, the 2017 Essence Music Festival in New Orleans, Louisiana was nothing short of incredible. We arrived in the city Thursday afternoon. Omarious Fann, CEO and Founder, was contracted by the 360 Agency, originally as the Stage Manager, for the AT&T activation. #BeTheGlow However, upon our arrival things changed. Omarious immediately stepped in as an event/ production consultant; assisting in every area - escorting major talent, stage management, executive relations, even staffing brand ambassador position. therefore, the Limitless Alliance presence and effective was made known.
When we reached the convention center Thursday, we had the chance to connect with our client "The 360 Agency" whose client was AT&T. Lucy, Anna, Daysha, Kelly, Derrell, Adam and so many others made us feel welcomed as well as a part of the 360 team. Gin and Tish, who are the owners of the 360 Agency were amazing as well. Their West Coast- Cali swag really made an expression on Omarious. He's considering relocating. But i doubt we'll let him leave. Nonetheless, working with this production team to execute this event was absolutely a piece of work. You may or may not know, but AT&T is a sponsor of the Essence festival. Which mean, during showroom hours, consumer has the option of visiting all the sponsors along with the vendor's footprint. "Footprint" is another word for setup area, activation space, or event space. the AT&T experience combined a mixture of tech, art, music, fashion and entertainment into an Afrofuturistic themed event.
Upon consumer approaching our event space, brand ambassadors gave away complimentary sound bracelets that lit up to the vibrations of sound waves. Then, consumers could visit the different station located around our uniquely designed footprint. These include stations where they could checking out #TheBridge , which is AT&T's online, urban magazine, similar to what Reebok, or Redbull has. They could get the face painted or drawn on by LaoluNYC- who is an incredible visual artist born and raised in Ilorin, Nigeria to Yoruba Parents who inspired his creativity artistic talent. By the way Laolu's sacred work was recently made popular by Beyonce, who feature his talents in the visual album Lemonade. Along with this creatively cool activity, consumer were also able to experience a day with Young Paris by testing out AT&T Virtual Reality setup. These are just some of the activities AT&T provided for individual that attended this event. We also had a different DJ every day, along with different celebrity appearances, like Boris Kodjoe, Tracee Ellis Ross, Laolu, Rev Run, his wife Mrs.Simmons and so many more. Rev Run also announced Run DMC will be touring in the U.S. this year! isn't that exciting? Each fun filled day, Friday - Sunday was full of inspiration, information, celebrities, music, art and did we mention fun.
Our Limitless Alliance staff has reported that this is an experience they'll never forget. Along with days filled with music, art and fun, the nightlife was just as entertaining. Following a long day of work, the core team has the privilege of enjoy floor seat to the Main Stage Concert event presented by Essence. Opening night, we witness performance by India Arie, John Legend, Diana Ross and others. Then on the last night we watch performance by Master P, Mystikal, Tweet, Solange and everyone's favorite right now #ChanceTherapper. Be the way, this is our third three in 2 month, seeing Chance perform and as always His show was completely phenomenal.
Overall, our 2017 Essence Music Festival experience is incomparable to any other festival we have attended this year. This festival #FUBU or as some like to call it "The Party With Purpose" gave us the thrill of the summer. We aim to be back next year, ready to impact the thousand who will attend with a #LIMITLESSeffect.
